Porto Cervo and the inland countryside, the two opposite faces of the northeast

I will not pinpoint any particular town or village, because each and every place is worth being visited. Maybe sooner or later I will dedicate a separate article about the inland villages of Sardinia. The very character of Sardinia, obstinate and free, suggests to dig deeper, underneath the surface. Surface here stays for the beautiful coastline. The mountainous countryside is undoubtedly the core and the spine of the island.(
